Flying as a passenger on a tandem paraglider has a different meaning to everyone, with over 6000 flights and 20 years of paragliding, I still look forward to each flight and never cease to be intrigued by the differing views of my passengers.
For many people, the flight represents a challenge of pushing the personal comfort zone whilst being able to partake of the fantastic scenery that the Mont Blanc massif has to offer. For others, it may be the opportunity to feel what it is like to fly – like a bird, or to share a moment floating through the air with a friend flying close by on another wing. Some look to sample the dynamic aspects of paragliding by glimpsing the world of acrobatics. For those considering learning to fly themselves, a tandem flight is an invaluable introduction to the sport.
In short, it’s the role of the pilot to understand a passenger’s fears, desires and motivation, so as to offer the very best possible flight adapted to your requirements.
Tandem paragliding is open to all ages (4 – 91 years have regularly flown with us) and requires no previous experience.
Ideally walking boots but grippy trainers are often worn. In the winter, you will need the same clothing as for skiing and in the summer its best to have a fleece or windproof jacket. We can usually lend boots or extra clothing if forewarned.
A smooth run down a gentle slope. No jumping off a cliff & no sensation of falling.
You are comfortably seated in a harness & have your hands free to take photos, your instructor is reassuringly seated behind you and you may talk freely together during the flight
Landing is gentle and requires running a few short steps.
A variety of flights are available but the most suitable first time flight is from Planpraz 2000m (Brevent ski area). The flight lasts around 20 mins depending upon conditions and passenger weight, we fly over the town & land in the valley bottom at 1000m.
It’s always best to book in advance and early in your stay so as to have the most suitable conditions & to allow for any postponements due to adverse weather. Booking is easy, just send us an e.mail or give us a call, no deposits required & no need to create an account etc.
