Morzine Ski Resort Review
Morzine is said to be the best base from which to explore the gigantic Portes du Soleil ski area. It combines the lively atmosphere of a busy, alpine town with some of the best skiing in Europe, and has become hugely popular with British skiers. Also to its advantage is the fact it is extremely picturesque, thanks to a perfect location along the fast flowing River Dranse.

The sheer size of the Portes du Soleil becomes apparent when you look at the areas included. 12 resorts in 2 countries, 650km of pistes and a staggering 80 chairlifts. There is something for everyone here and it shows as in busy periods you can be facing a long wait at the lift stations and an even longer wait for food and drink in the many restaurants dotted about on the piste. That said, because of the sheer size of the Portes Du Soleil its easy to scout other places to have lunch and relax after a mornings ski. |

Morzine town is a bustling friendly place with fantastic amenities. It’s Après Ski facilities are a huge draw for the younger cliental and are worth taking advantage of. There are literally to many bars to choose from, and many of which have live music to add to the alpine party atmosphere ! Now with two supermarkets in the town, traditional French shops, well-equipped ski and snowboarding outlets, you’ll never have too venture to far to get what you need
