Courmayeur Ski Resort Review

Courmayeur is located just on the other side of the Mont Blanc tunnel in the Italian region of Aosta and has some amazing skiing for all. The terrain at Courmayeur is made up of huge open powder fields, challenging moguls and bowls, heavily treed areas and wide fast groomed trails.

For beginners Courmayeur is relatively well catered. You’re able to easily access wide gently sloping runs which are often really quiet and always well groomed.

Situated in the Dolonne Area above the Village under the Courmayeur Cable Car there are a few really wide flat groomed trails suitable for young children and first time skiers and snowboarders to learn on.

Courmayeur offers a great range of Heli-skiing and snowboarding tours of the surrounding mountains and glaciers.

The tours are usually in groups no larger than four advanced skiers or snowboarders with one professional mountain guide.

Once in Courmayeur you can take part in, ice curling, snow biking, snowshoeing, tobogganing and ice skating.

If Indoor activities are what you’re after you can play tennis or squash, visit climbing walls or indulge in massage and beauty treatments at any one of the many spa's in the area.

If you would like to do a little bit of shopping, Courmayeur will not disappoint. It has many ski and snowboard shops stocking the latest equipment and rental gear, high fashion boutiques in the centre, art and photography galleries, children’s shops and gift and souvenir stores.

In true Italian style, Courmayeur has over 50 restaurants, pizzerias and cafes serving fine Italian cuisine.

The raved about Ristorante Pizzeria Bellevue serves some of the best wood fired pizzas you will ever experience alongside hot steaming bowls of authentic pasta.

The nightlife in Courmayeur is very active with bustling wine bars and nightclubs dotted throughout the Village.

For the best après ski, visit Bar Roma or the trendy Cadran Solaire Bar for a vast selection of Italian wines sold by the glass. Our Chamonix Courmayeur transfer is available 24/7 making it easy to go for a day in Courmayeur and still be able to get back when you want
