Got a Question?

Yes we are. At ChamonixFirst we have all the necessary transport licences and public liability insurance to legally carry out pre booked transfers to and from resorts, airports etc.

We also have the appropriate canton licenses which allow us to enter Switzerland and pick up passengers from the airport. In the event of a control at the border or the airport, our drivers and vehicles have all the correct documentation and insurance cover necessary for transporting passengers.

Please see our particulars below:

Siret Number: 494 521 982 00038
International transport license number: 2022/84/0001765
Code APE: 4932 Z Transports de Voyageurs
Transport insurance : Alliance Chamonix

When making a booking, please be careful to provide us with the local arrival/departure times for your flight - NOT to be confused with your take off or check in times. This way we can correctly organise your transfer to minimise waiting time at the airport and efficiently plan our drivers daily schedules. Errors with these times could result in you having to purchase a new transfer if we cannot switch you to an alternate service.

We will confirm your exact pick up time by SMS at 5pm (French time) the night before you are due to travel. This message will also include the name and telephone number of your driver should you need to contact them directly. Please ensure that we have a valid mobile number for you prior to travel and if you have not received an SMS shortly after the aforementioned time, then contact the ChamonixFirst office on +33 (0)480 80 61 88.

Your driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall on the Swiss (International) side of Geneva airport. Once you have collected your baggage, exit through the doors and go towards the Visitor Centre opposite. Your driver will be stood in front holding a sign with your group leader's name on it. If the airport is particularly busy, you can contact them directly with the number provided in the SMS we send to you the night before or call our office. For other airports, they will wait for you directly opposite the doors to the arrival hall.

Once you have a confirmed reservation, please let us know immediately of any changes to your planning, either by calling the ChamonixFirst office on +33 (0)480 80 61 88 or emailing us atbookings@chamonixfrst.com. Don't forget to quote your booking reference number in your confirmation email.

Yes, we require every passenger to purchase a seat, including babies and children, as European law states that everyone in the vehicle must occupy their own seat. When making a reservation that includes little ones, please make sure that you choose the correct type of baby/booster seat at the time of booking. If you are unsure as to which type of seat your child requires, let us know their age, height & weight and we will be happy to help advise on the most suitable seat for them. Failure to book the appropriate seat for a child may result in your transfer being delayed or cancelled as it is illegal to carry minors without the correct seating.

Yes, baby/child seats and booster cushions are provided free of charge but  you must request the correct type of seat in advance. The seat(s) will be in the vehicle when we come to collect you.

You should keep ChamonixFirst informed at all times if your flight is delayed or cancelled. You can do this by calling the ChamonixFirst office on +33 480 80 61 88 or (if out of hours) contact your driver directly. We will send you your driver's name & number by SMS the evening before your tranfer. Failure to do this may result in your transfer being delayed or cancelled due to no show.

In the event that you miss your flight completely you must call the ChamonixFirst office straight away and we will endeavour to reschedule your transfer for the next available vehicle leaving the airport. However, this may involve a wait during busy periods. In you fail to inform us of a flight cancellation and our driver comes to pick you up then, in line with our terms and conditions, your transfer will be cancelled and it will be non-refundable.

The transfer time between Geneva Airport and Chamonix usually takes between 1hr 15 minutes to 1hr 30 minutes. Traffic & weather conditions can obviously impact this, so we reserve the right to tweak our pick up times accordingly in anticipation of challenging road conditions. You can rest assured that all our drivers have extensive mountain driving experience and adapt their driving accordingly to local conditions.
